josh and liv THEORY

josh's song Secret always confused me... and so did Crisis when it says "weren't you the one who left in the first place, weren't you the one who called things off?"

ok, hi guys welcome to my post. you probably have no idea what i'm talking about right now... well i'm talking about Joshua Bassett and Olivia Rodrigo. we've all heard about the drama and yes, i know it's not like a "hot topic" anymore and joshy's songs released a whole month ago now but i've been thinking about mr. bassett's lyrics a lot more and im really confused so here's my theory.

joshua has confirmed that his songs Crisis, Secret, and Set Me Free are all in response to liv. well, we know how Secret mentions another guy right- "swore that you only had a crush, told me that you would cut him off" and Crisis hints that OLIVIA is the one who ended things "weren't you the one who left in the first place? weren't you the one who called things off?". THIS is what i'm going to be talking about today.

you may say i can't be on both sides but here i am :)

i believe that joshua broke up with olivia so he could date sabrina. that was the right decision, actually. he didn't cheat but he was falling out of love. sooo technically he was being an adult and ending the relationship before he went to sab. buuut some of olivia's "fans" think that since you broke her heart, you deserve to die. i think that everyone goes through heartbreaks like this and this was just liv's first major one. so they shouldn't have sent DEATH threats to josh or sab. i blame most of this stuff on the fans but i do believe olivia could have said something to stop this. especially since she had to know josh almost DIED from the stress.
